Volunteer Roles

Senior Spot

  • Senior Spot is an adult day program for older adults with moderate or advanced limitations. It is designed to provide socialization and stimulation for participants while offering their caregivers a much-needed break (respite).

  • Senior Spot meets 12:00 - 3:00 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Golden Eagle Senior Center in Eagle. Volunteers arrive a little early to help set up and potentially stay to help clean up.

  • We ask for a commitment of a minimum of two set Senior Spot days per month i.e. every other Monday.

  • In addition to helping plan and lead activities, volunteers may be asked to provide one-on-one assistance with specific participants.

Activity Buddies

  • Activity Buddies are respite volunteers to help a family caregiver when they need a periodic break or have something they need to do but cannot leave their loved one alone.

  • The program is not meant to replace paid caregiving help and no personal care is provided. A volunteer engages the care recipient in an activity or conversation for one to three hours at a time.
